Lent 2021

Please note that all our in person worship and gatherings have been suspended due to the novel coronavirus. See our pastoral letters for details.

In Lent, we move our Sunday morning service to Sunday evening. So no worship here at 10:30am in Lent. Instead, come for worship over Zoom Sunday at 4 pm. Don’t forget to pick up your Lenten worship kit! This year, our Lenten study is titled “The Struggle is Real” (see below for info on it!). In Lent, we do not have Chat and Chow on Wednesday evenings. But we will do Chat and Chow in Lent every Tuesday at 6:00 offering a variety of activities from games to movies and more!

Our 2021 Lenten Bible Study: The Struggle is Real
Something of an alternative this year, inviting more sharing than our typical Bible studies do: we introduce The Struggle Is Real. We’ll invite, in fully non-judgmental space, your struggles with the faith: stumbling blocks, traditions that are oppressive, things that make you cringe. We welcome this honesty and believe we are free to bring these things into God’s presence and the presence of each other with trust and goodwill. Once we share, we’ll decide which of those we want to explore in greater depth in the coming weeks. By the way, even Jesus struggled with faith, as we know from his cry on the cross: “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Lent is a great time to talk about these things!
