Affiliation
St. Andrew’s is a congregation of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), and a Campus Ministry of the LuMin Network. We are a Registered Student Organization affiliated with the University of Illinois, and Pr. Jon is part of the Religious Workers Association on campus. We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation who sees, names, celebrates, and advocates for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. We seek to be a church that is truly welcoming and affirming of all people.
Meet Our Leaders
Jon Fry, Campus Pastor (he/him)
Pastor Jon is the newly called Pastor of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church & Campus Center. Pr. He grew up in Bondurant, Iowa and earned his undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of Northern Iowa. He graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA in May 2023. Prior to seminary, Pr. Jon served as the Campus Minister at the University of Northern Iowa Lutheran Student Center, where he grew in his call to ministry and his passion for walking with young adults as they asked the hard questions of faith and life.

OUR COMMUNITY
St. Andrew’s Council
St. Andrew’s Council is a group of members elected by the community to organize events, plan worship, and dream about the future. Council members are mostly UIUC students, and all are members or associate members of St. Andrew’s.

St. Andrew’s Board of Trustees
The Board is composed of members of other local ELCA congregations. The Board collaborates with the Pastor and Council to oversee the financial resources of the ministry and guide long term mission and vision work.
